In the conditions of the new world order, youth creates the future of Russia
On March 23, the first deputy head of the working apparatus of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, the chairman of the Youth Council under the Commissioner, Ilya Chechelnitsky, took part in the first meeting of the Youth Public Expert Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Murmansk Region.
Ilya Chechelnitsky delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the Federal Ombudsman, in which he noted the new world order, where, among other things, the observance of the rights of young people comes to the fore. In the face of unprecedented sanctions pressure, the state is taking measures to support vulnerable categories of young citizens: graduates, young citizens without secondary vocational and higher education, orphans, people with disabilities.
Volunteer communities, youth public and human rights associations are actively developing, opportunities are being created to support youth initiatives: grant competitions, programs, forums on the most pressing issues for young people. The state pays attention to the employment of young people — thanks to the decree of the Government of Russia, employers of young professionals (under 30 years old) will receive state subsidies.
According to the first deputy head of the working apparatus of the Commissioner, guarantees should be provided for the rights of young people who volunteer on the territory of the DPR and LPR — young people play an important role and provide the necessary assistance.
At the end of the speech, the deputy head of the working apparatus of the Commissioner invited the participants of the event to join the work of the Youth Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation to develop proposals for improving the effectiveness of activities to protect the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of young people.
